Cubs vs Padres - We win & help the Giants!

Cubs can't come to town without us getting a chance to see them. Last night me and Nick went and sat in awesome seats 6 rows behind homeplate. He is friends with a guy who has season tickets and they trade Oregon football tix for Padres tix once per year.

Wrigley - Day 5

Things are getting better by the hour. He's learning more and more and becoming very social (with us - he's still scared of other people petting him until he smells them), playful and "puppy-like" with us. He has started to give us kisses and attempt to bite us. We took him to a local park this morning before it got too hot so he could see/ hear kids playing to socialize him.

Yesterday we had puppy school from 9-10am but it went until 11am. He was so tired he literally slept all afternoon - in some funny positions!

 He loves his squeaky toys and bones but can't seem to figure out what to do with a tennis ball when we bounce it towards him. We started giving him ice since it's so hot outside and he is hilarious with it. When I put it on the floor he tries to paw at it to get it to come closer but it ends up sliding across the floor and he licks his way to it and does it again.

We have a puppy!

Meet Wrigley, the newest addition to our family. He's a 12 week old Labradoodle (Labrador and Poodle mix) who is absolutely adorable and big already!

Iowa vs U of A

We went to Tucson, AZ this weekend for the Iowa football game. My first time seeing them in person was great, minus the fact they lost. We went with Nick's best friend Ryan and his fiancee Jessica. It was about 110 degrees while tailgating and 90 at 10:30pm during the game. Needless to say I'll never be living in Arizona.

Cubs vs Giants

We drove up north on Wednesday to spend a long weekend in Mill Valley, and see the Cubs play the Giants at At&t park. It was a gorgeous day (high of 69 and sunny) when it was supposed to be about 55 and foggy.The Cubs lost 8-7 in the bottom of the 9. Bummer.

Geoff's friend had his birthday the same day so he was at the game too and we caught him at the end for a quick hello.

Last Day

Before everyone left tonight we spent a beautiful day at the pool. Great vacation. More pictures to come on Facebook.

Soak City

Yesterday the cousins and Nick went to Knotts Berry Farm Soak City right north of the Mexico-California boarder. Besides all the bees and it not being very warm it was fun. I personally don't seek out thrill rides of any kind, and the 2 below really terrified me.

The first slide, "La Jolla Falls" had 4 options. I thought I took the easiest route down. It was the worst. I caught air at least 2 times, my bathing suit was up my butt, far, and my boobs were in my mouth. I will never do that again.

The next ride, "Pacific Spin" shoots a 4 person raft down a HUGE drop and then flings you up the sides of the big barrel thing. I screamed LOUD. A 10 year old girl came with me, Nikki and Angie. She wasn't scared.
